Live entertainment, a children’s funfair and hot food will be served on the Green from midday, followed by the candlelit procession through the High Street from 4.30 pm.
The procession, organised by Copers Cope Area Residents’ Association, will be led by a marching band, with carol singers from local churches joining in along the route. With 500 child-safe lanterns to give away, the procession will leave from outside the Post Office on Rectory Road. Those wishing to take part should meet outside the Post Office at 4.30 pm.
The festivities will culminate with the annual Christmas Lights Switch On and a festive sing-a-long on the Green at 5.30 pm.
A big thank you to Layhams Farm Shop for the Christmas Tree and to Sainsbury’s for supplying some mince pies.
