Croydon Road Recreation Ground’s ball park got an overhaul last week when staff from local Beckenham business Bailey Ahmad Business Recovery decided to get their hands dirty and volunteer to repaint it for the benefit of the community.

Bailey Ahmad, who are members of Beckenham Business Association (BBA) decided to help The Friends of Croydon Park Recreation Ground with the repainting following Bromley’s inaugural Corporate Social Responsibility Expo in March this year.

Bailey Ahmad director Paul Bailey, who is also BBA Treasurer, said: “Our staff regularly use the park at lunchtime, so we were delighted to become involved with The Friends of Croydon Park Recreation Ground for the day.

“The day was both a team building exercise for us and, more importantly, a way for us to improve the environment of the local community in which we work.”

The CSR expo, which was organised by Community Links Bromley in partnership with Bromley Community Fund and Bromley Council, gave local businesses and voluntary groups the opportunity to network and find ways they could work together for their mutual benefit. It was hosted by the Mayor of Bromley at Council offices.
